PC File Tracker and Computer Timer make personal computers more useful, manageable,
and secure! PC File Tracker is a file management program that you may use to remove spy-
ware and malware, create a file list, and troubleshoot computer problems. It gives computer
users more control of their computer(s). Computer Timer is a timer that you may use as an
event reminder or as an alarm clock sounder. You may download either software from this
web site as a free trial, i.e., shareware, version or as a registered version. Registered ver-
sions of PC File Tracker and Computer Timer come with free technical support, their price is
low, and to buy them you don't need a credit card.
The Wise Message web page on this web site shows wise messages that may give some
people wisdom, hope, and guidance. Each message is a proverb(s) randomly (actually pseu-
do-randomly) selected from the Book of Proverbs of two Holy Bibles. A proverb states:
"When the lot is cast into the lap, its decision depends entirely upon the Lord.",
so you just might receive a message that applies to you personally. If you would like to re-
ceive a wise message, click the Wise Message button.

File Tracking
Some people, and maybe many governments, might like you to relinquesh control of your
computer files to them unawares, but PC File Tracker should help you keep your private in-
formation that is on your computer under your control. Files appear on computers, and when
you don't know their functions, you may have to assume that they are safe to use. Unex-
pected files downloaded from the Internet may monitor computer usage, allow strangers us-
ing the Internet to access computers and even take control of them, and may be virus,
worm, or a different form of malware. If you have Windows XP and Internet Explorer, then
Windows Explorer and the Start menu Search programs may hide files and folders from you,
e.g., subfolders of a Temporary Internet Files folder, and some files comprising downloaded
Active-X controls.
PC File Tracker finds non-temporary files that are added to or modified on computer disks. It
also finds name and previous location data about moved, and deleted, files and folders. If a
virus, worm, or spyware file is ever placed onto your computer(s) (not unlikely if you use the
Internet), then PC File Tracker may help you find the file. PC File Tracker doesn't determine
if files are malware (you may specify dangerous files or monitor system files, however), so a
recommended procedure is to use it with regular anti-virus and anti-spyware detector/elimi-
nator programs because it can find dangerous files that the programs don't detect.
If you have problems with a computer or a computer program, PC File Tracker may help you
troubleshoot, i.e., look for what is causing the trouble. The report file that PC File Tracker
creates might contain information about modifications to, or deletions of, files or folders that
the computer or program uses, maybe showing you the cause of the problem, for example,
when a file that a program uses is unexpectedly modified or deleted. Businesses may re-
quire that their computers run smoothly, and when computer problems occur, they may re-
ceive expensive repair bills, so to maybe quickly and inexpensively find the cause of com-
puter problems, they should regularly document and track files that are on their personal
computers.
PC File Tracker can help personal computer users with file management. It creates a file list
that includes name, location, and other data about files and folders that are on computer
disks. You might use the list to find the cause of computer problems (compare the data that
is in them, looking for unexpected modifications or deletions of files or folders).
PC File Tracker produces a report file that shows names and locations of files installed by
software programs. The information may be useful when programs are not used and there-
fore deleted by an uninstall program because it may help find files that the uninstall pro-
gram didn't delete (many uninstall programs don't delete all the files - some may leave files
containing 20Mb or more on a computer disk, wasting disk space).
The documentation that comes with PC File Tracker may help Internet uses make their
computer more resistant to Internet attacks, because it includes computer protection pro-
cedures.
Computers Are Timers Too!
Computer Timer is like a timer used for cooking. It may be used for timing cooking and for
other purposes. For example, you might use it either to help you not miss an appointment
or to be alerted immediately before you intend to do something, e.g., taking medicine or do-
ing something not so important such as tuning in a radio show. If you know when you plan
to do something, set the timer to sound a minute or so before the event, and it should alert
you.
If you have Internet service that costs more when you use it a longer period of time, you
may set Computer Timer to sound when you would like to log off the network, or if applica-
ble, when you will be required to pay more (when you log on to the Internet, determine the
amount of time that you may use the network and not have to pay more, and then set the
timer to sound immediately before your service will cost more).
